Make the W10 installation media onto a USB stick with Microsoft's official tool. You don't however need Rufus to make the installation media or anything, or even a DVD like some online articles/discussions say. The other way around is simple. This is why you need to actually wipe the drive and reinstall W10. Some other similar, but not exactly the same, Asus laptops can get it fixed with other methods.ĪFAIK changing from UEFI+GPT to Legacy+MBR isn't really possible, or if it is it's quite complicated. I did also run into other people online who had MBR+Legacy BIOS fix the issue, and from what I understand it might even be the only fix in the case of this laptop. It actually DID fix audio for me, just like KaliHolmes mentioned. This was after trying everything else I could think of and find online. Well good news on my part, I went ahead and tried it.
